The Pointers and the Southern Cross

After traveling far enough south to observe the Southern Cross for a third time, Caleb writes about the historical significance of the Southern Cross constellation and the Pointer stars near by. These stars were used to help navigators traverse the Southern Hemisphere because there was no “south star” like there is a North Star in the Northern Hemisphere. The Southern Cross and the Pointers stand as a celestial reminder to us to live our lives glorifying God, and pointing everyone towards the cross where they can be reconciled to God.
